Bisonaf

Quick and easy to prepare.

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ lbs (675 g) ground bison 
  • 1 egg lightly beaten 
  • 1 cup (250 ml) milk 
  • 3/4 cup (185 ml) bread crumbs 
  • 1 medium chopped onion 
  • 1 tbsp (15 ml) chopped green pepper 
  • 1 tbsp (15 ml) ketchup 
  • 1/2 tsp (2 ml) pepper 
  • 1 tsp (5 ml) prepared horseradish 
  • 1 tsp (5 ml) sugar 
  • 1 tsp (5 ml) ground allspice 
  • 1 tsp (5 ml) dill weed 

Method

  1. In a bowl, combine above ingredients. 
  2. Press into a greased loaf pan and bake at 350 for 1 hour. 
  3. Drizzle top of loaf with 1/4 cup ketchup mixed with 2-3 tbsp (30 - 45 ml) of water to thin. 
  4. Bake an additional 15 minutes more or until no pink remains in meat. Feeds 4 to 6 hungry people.
