Privacy Policy

At the Alberta Bison Centre we believe that a person's privacy is very important. We are providing this information to demonstrate how seriously we take protection of your private information.

Personal information

At the Alberta Bison Centre, we try to give you as much control as possible over your personal information.

In general, you can visit the Alberta Bison Centre on the Web without telling us who you are or revealing any information about yourself. There are times, however, when we may need information from you, such as your name, your phone, your email address or your Fax number for listing Classified Ads or Ranch Directory listings.

We keep all the information that is given to us, so that we can re-transmit it in the event of a communication problem, and for analysis purposes.

We do not sell any lists to anyone. Period. All information you provide to
the Alberta Bison Centre is kept within the Bison Centre.

Historically, we have never utilized any of the information provided to us. In the future, we may use the information to communicate with you, the person who provided the information.

If you tell us that you do not wish to have this information used as a basis for further contact with you, we will respect your wishes.

We do keep track of the domains from which people visit us. We analyze this data for trends and statistics.

Business relationships

The Alberta Bison Centre site contains links to other Web sites. For obvious reasons, the Bison Centre can not be responsible for the privacy practices or the content of such Web sites.

Cookies

There is a technology called "cookies" which can be used to help your interaction with a Web site. A cookie is a small file containing information about you that a Web site such as the Alberta Bison Centre sends to your browser, which then stores it on your PC.

At the Alberta Bison Centre, we don't like the idea of putting information on your PC, so we do not currently use "cookies". However we may find there is a real need to use them sometime in the future.

For your information, you can set your browser to notify you when you receive a cookie, giving you the chance to decide whether to accept it. In practice, setting your browser to tell you that a cookie is being loaded onto your PC will drive you crazy, and you will probably end up turning off the warning.

If you have any questions or comments about our privacy practices, you can contact us through our Contact Form on the contact page.
