Alberta Bison Association
"Promoting the Bison
Advantage"
Origin
The Alberta Bison Association (ABA) was established in 1991 by ten charter
members who envisioned an organization to serve the regional interests of bison
producers in Alberta. Today the ABA supports the Bison Producers of Alberta (BPA)
in providing leadership and direction for Alberta’s bison industry. The ABA
continues to maintain its regional association status with the Canadian Bison
Association (CBA). The ABA through the PBA and the CBA assists in vigorously
promoting and representing the interests of the bison industry to consumers and
all levels of government.
