Favorite Marinade (For Shis Kebabs)
A tasty sweet and sour marinade with a hint of ginger.
Cut 1 1/2 lbs bison steak into bite size cubes. This is easiest to do when partially thawed.
- 1/2 cup soya sauce
- 1/2 cup vinegar
- 2 tbsp cooking oil
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1/2 tsp ginger
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- Pour marinade over meat and let stand for 4 -6 hours.
- Soak bamboo skewers in water for a least 20 minutes, to prevent them burning.
- Alternate meat cubes on skewers with chunks of red, yellow, green peppers, chunks of purple onion, snow peas, zucchini, pineapple, etc.
- Barbeque on med-high heat, just till meat is medium-well done.
